  The capital of the Indian state of West Bengal is Kolkata, previously known as Calcutta that is located on the east bank of the River Hooghly. Kolkata is famous as the Cultural capital of India and labelled as the City of Joy.  The reason behind it is because people of Kolkata know how to enjoy each & every festival be it Durga Puja, Christmas,  Diwali, Eid or New Year or anything.
